Samo Khichdi Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of samo (Moraiya)- समा चावल
  • 1 chopped potato (आलू)
  • 2-3 chopped green chillies (**हरी मिर्च**)
  • 1 tbsp of raw peanuts (मूंगफली)
  • 1 tbsp of ghee (घी)
  • Rock salt to taste (सेंधा नमक)

Procedure:-

  1. Wash the samo (moriya).
  2. Turn on the flame.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan.
  4. Add green chillies and raw peanuts
  5. Saute it for 2-3 mins on low- medium flame.
  6. Add samo and cook it on low – medium flame until it turns golden.
  7. Add chopped potato and mix it.
  8. Reduce the heat, add 2 cups water and mix well.
  9. Add rock salt to taste, mix it.
  10. Cover the pan and cook it for approx. 12-15 mins on low flame.
  11. After 12 mins samo khichdi is ready to serve.
  12. Take it out in serving plate.

Tip :-

If you like cumin seeds, coriander leaves, you can add.
