Sabudana Thalipeeth Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of soaked sago
  • 1 boiled sweet potato
  • ½ cup of Roasted peanuts
  • 3-4 chopped green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp of ghee

Procedure:-

  1. Add 1 cup of sago in a big bowl and wash it 2 times with water.
  2. Add 3-4 tbsp of water in this sago.
  3. Cover the sago with lid and keep it aside for 8-10 hours or overnight.
  4. Take soaked sago.
  5. Smash and add sweet potato in soaked sago.
  6. Add chopped green chilli, salt to taste and mix it well.
  7. Place the parchment paper on kitchen surface or rolling board.
  8. Grease the parchment paper with ghee.
  9. Take the small portion of sago mixture and roll the thalipeeth with help of hand. Roll it into 2-3 inch diameter
  10. Add some ghee in a tawa and spread it all over.
  11. Place the rolled thalipeeth on tawa and remove the parchment paper.
  12. Cook the thalipeeth until it turns golden brown on low-medium flame.
  13. When thalipeeth is cooked well, flip it to another side and cook until it turns golden brown.
  14. Take out the sago thalipeeth in a plate.
  15. Make all sago thalipeeth just like this.
  16. Sago and sweet potato thalipeeth is ready to eat for fasting.

Serve the hot sago thalipeeth with yogurt/curd or fasting chutney.

Tip:- You can add green chilli and ginger paste, red chilli powder, boiled potato instead of sweet potato.
