Sabudana Appe

Sago appam is a very tasty and non-fried fasting food. It’s very quick and healthy recipe for vrat, fast.

Ingredients-

  • 1 cup of soaked sago
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • ½ cup of Roasted peanuts
  • 3-4 chopped green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp of ghee

Procedure:-

  1. Take soaked sago in a big bowl.
  2. Smash the boiled potatoes.
  3. Add salt to taste, chopped green chilli, peanuts powder and smashed potatoes.
  4. Mix it well.
  5. Grease the palm with ghee.
  6. Take small amount of sago mixture and make a small ball.
  7. Turn on the gas and keep appam pan on gas.
  8. Heat the appam pan properly.
  9. Add 2-3 drops of ghee in appam mould.
  10. Place the sago ball in appam mould and add few drops of ghee on top of sago ball.
  11. Cook the sago appam on low flame until it turns golden brown.
  12. When the appam cooks well, Flip it to another side with the help of spoon or wooden stick.
  13. Cook it on medium flame until it turns golden brown.
  14. Take out the sago appam in a serving plate.
  15. Serve the sago appam with yogurt or any chutney.

Tips:

  • If you like, you can add cumin seeds, coriander leave and ginger.
