Dry Fruit Chikki Recipe
Ingredients- सामग्री
- 1 cup of chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios and pumpkin seeds)
(बादाम, काजू, पिसता, कद्दू के बीज)
- Roasted peanuts (भुनी हुई मूंगफली)
- 1 cup of jaggery (गुड़)
- ¼ tsp of cardamom powder (इलायची पाउडर)
- 1 tsp of ghee (घी)
Procedure:-
- Grease the plate with ghee or oil and keep it aside.
- Heat a pan and add chopped dry fruits in a pan.
- Roast the dry fruits for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
- Take out dry fruits in a bowl.
- Add 1 tsp of ghee in a pan.
- Add jaggery and cook it on low flame until jiggery is dissolved completely.
- Continue cooking and stirring the syrup.
- Take water in a small bowl and add few drops of syrup. Check the consistency of syrup by checking if that drop of jiggery turns hard.
- Turn off the flame.
- Add cardamom powder and all roasted dry fruits in syrup and mix it well.
- Transfer the mixture in a greased plate or parchment paper and pat it using flat spatula.
- Cut into small rectangular pieces using sharp knife.
- Let it cool down.
- Dry fruits chikki is ready.
Store the dry fruit chikki in an air tight container. You can store them for approx.5-6 months.
Tip: – You can make this chikki with sugar as well.
