Dry Fruit Chikki Recipe

 Ingredients- सामग्री

  • 1 cup of chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios and pumpkin seeds)

(बादाम, काजू, पिसता, कद्दू के बीज)

  • Roasted peanuts (भुनी हुई मूंगफली)
  • 1 cup of jaggery (गुड़)
  • ¼ tsp of cardamom powder (इलायची पाउडर)
  • 1 tsp of ghee (घी)

Procedure:-

  1. Grease the plate with ghee or oil and keep it aside.
  2. Heat a pan and add chopped dry fruits in a pan.
  3. Roast the dry fruits for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Take out dry fruits in a bowl.
  5. Add 1 tsp of ghee in a pan.
  6. Add jaggery and cook it on low flame until jiggery is dissolved completely.
  7. Continue cooking and stirring the syrup.
  8. Take water in a small bowl and add few drops of syrup. Check the consistency of syrup by checking if that drop of jiggery turns hard.
  9. Turn off the flame.
  10. Add cardamom powder and all roasted dry fruits in syrup and mix it well.
  11. Transfer the mixture in a greased plate or parchment paper and pat it using flat spatula.
  12. Cut into small rectangular pieces using sharp knife.
  13. Let it cool down.
  14. Dry fruits chikki is ready.

Store the dry fruit chikki in an air tight container. You can store them for approx.5-6 months.

Tip: – You can make this chikki with sugar as well.
