Dal Bati recipe

Dal baati is an Indian food comprising of dal and baati. It is a traditional and popular Rajasthani recipe as well as it is popular in Madhya Pradesh and uttar Pradesh. Dal is made with green gram (moong dal), black gram (urad dal), split bengal gram(chana dal),split red gram(tuvaar dal) and split red Lentil(masur dal). Baati is made with wheat flour and semolina. Dal baati is a very nice and delicious recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp of semolina
  • 1 tsp of carom Seeds
  • ¼ tsp of baking soda
  • ½ cup of ghee
  • salt to taste

Procedure:-

  1. Take a bowl.
  2. Add 2 cups of wheat flour in the bowl.
  3. Add salt to taste, carom seeds, semolina and baking soda.
  4. Mix it well.
  5. Add 2 tbsp of ghee and mix it well.
  6. Add little amount of water and knead the dough well.
  7. Knead the dough tight.
  8. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven on 200 degree Celsius.
  10. Take a baking tray and place the parchment paper on it.
  11. Knead the dough very well.
  12. Make the small ball and flat it little bit.
  13. Place the ball on tray.
  14. Make all the balls in similar way.
  15. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven.
  16. Bake it for 10-12 minutes on 220 degree Celsius.
  17. Take out the baking tray and flip baati.
  18. If the baati isn’t cooked well, you can bake for another 4-5 minutes.
  19. Take out all baatis in a plate.
  20. Take the ghee in a bowl.
  21. Dip the baati in ghee and take out the baati from ghee and keep in a serving plate.
  22. Dip all baatis in similar way.
  23. Our crispy and tasty baatis are ready.
  24. Serve the baati with dal or panchmel dal.
