Chicken pizza

Ingredients

For pizza base

  • 2 cups of plain flour
  • 1 tsp of dry yeast
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • 1 cup of warm water

For chicken marination

  • 1 tsp of lemon juice
  • 1 tsp of paprika powder
  • ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste (¼ tsp)

For topping

  • 100 gm of chicken
  • Yellow, green, red capsicum chopped
  • Olives
  • Mix herbs
  • Black pepper
  • Pizza sauce
  • Chilli flakes
  • Fresh parsley
  • Mozzarella cheese

Procedure:

  1. Take a big bowl.
  2. Add warm water in a bowl.
  3. Add dry yeast, Sugar and mix well.
  4. Cover the bowl with lid and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes or until yeast activates.
  5. After 10-15 minutes, mix activated yeast gently.
  6. Add plain flour, salt to taste and oil then mix everything well.
  7. Add water and make smooth dough.
  8. Knead the dough well or until it becomes soft and non sticky.
  9. Add few drops of oil in bowl and grease it.
  10. Keep the dough in the bowl and cover with clean wrap or airtight lid.
  11. Keep the dough bowl aside on the kitchen counter or warm place e.g. in the oven for 2 hours.
  12. Dough will ferment in 2 hours.
  13. Cut chicken into small pieces and wash with the water.
  14. Drain the excess water from the chicken.
  15. Add 1 tsp of lemon juice on the top of the chicken pieces.
  16. Add paprika powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste and mix everything well.
  17. Keep the fry pan on flame.
  18. Add chicken pieces in the pan. Don’t add oil and water.
  19. Cook the chicken on medium flame for 5 minutes.
  20. Chicken will release the water then reduce the flame and cover the pan with lid.
  21. Cook it for 7-8 minutes on low flame.
  22. Open the lid, fry the chicken on medium flame until chicken becomes dry and golden in colour.
  23. Take out the chicken in a bowl.
  24. Preheat the oven on 180 degree Celsius.
  25. Take the pizza dough bowl and open lid.
  26. Dough would have doubled in size.
  27. Sprinkle plain flour on the dough and punch it.
  28. Knead the dough gently and make 2-3 balls.
  29. Sprinkle some plain flour on top of the rolling board or clean kitchen counter.
  30. Roll the pizza base in to 1 inch diameter or as you like thin, but don’t roll very thin.
  31. Grease the pizza pan with oil and place the rolled pizza base on it.
  32. Prick the pizza base with the help of fork.
  33. Apply pizza sauce on it.
  34. If you like more pizza sauce, you can apply thick layer of pizza sauce.
  35. Add mozzarella cheese on the top of the pizza base.
  36. Add chicken pieces on it but don’t make thick layer of chicken.
  37. Add capsicum and olives.
  38. If you like extra cheese, add on it.
  39. Sprinkle black pepper powder, mix herbs, chilli flakes, parsley.
  40. Put the pizza pan in the oven and bake it for 15-20 minutes on 180 degree celsius.
  41. Take out the chicken pizza and let it cool down. Then cut it into small pieces.
  42. Enjoy chicken pizza with lovely friends and family members.
