Chicken pizza
Ingredients
For pizza base
- 2 cups of plain flour
- 1 tsp of dry yeast
- 1 tsp of sugar
- ½ tsp of salt
- 1 tbsp of oil
- 1 cup of warm water
For chicken marination
- 1 tsp of lemon juice
- 1 tsp of paprika powder
- ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
- Salt to taste (¼ tsp)
For topping
- 100 gm of chicken
- Yellow, green, red capsicum chopped
- Olives
- Mix herbs
- Black pepper
- Pizza sauce
- Chilli flakes
- Fresh parsley
- Mozzarella cheese
Procedure:
- Take a big bowl.
- Add warm water in a bowl.
- Add dry yeast, Sugar and mix well.
- Cover the bowl with lid and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes or until yeast activates.
- After 10-15 minutes, mix activated yeast gently.
- Add plain flour, salt to taste and oil then mix everything well.
- Add water and make smooth dough.
- Knead the dough well or until it becomes soft and non sticky.
- Add few drops of oil in bowl and grease it.
- Keep the dough in the bowl and cover with clean wrap or airtight lid.
- Keep the dough bowl aside on the kitchen counter or warm place e.g. in the oven for 2 hours.
- Dough will ferment in 2 hours.
- Cut chicken into small pieces and wash with the water.
- Drain the excess water from the chicken.
- Add 1 tsp of lemon juice on the top of the chicken pieces.
- Add paprika powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste and mix everything well.
- Keep the fry pan on flame.
- Add chicken pieces in the pan. Don’t add oil and water.
- Cook the chicken on medium flame for 5 minutes.
- Chicken will release the water then reduce the flame and cover the pan with lid.
- Cook it for 7-8 minutes on low flame.
- Open the lid, fry the chicken on medium flame until chicken becomes dry and golden in colour.
- Take out the chicken in a bowl.
- Preheat the oven on 180 degree Celsius.
- Take the pizza dough bowl and open lid.
- Dough would have doubled in size.
- Sprinkle plain flour on the dough and punch it.
- Knead the dough gently and make 2-3 balls.
- Sprinkle some plain flour on top of the rolling board or clean kitchen counter.
- Roll the pizza base in to 1 inch diameter or as you like thin, but don’t roll very thin.
- Grease the pizza pan with oil and place the rolled pizza base on it.
- Prick the pizza base with the help of fork.
- Apply pizza sauce on it.
- If you like more pizza sauce, you can apply thick layer of pizza sauce.
- Add mozzarella cheese on the top of the pizza base.
- Add chicken pieces on it but don’t make thick layer of chicken.
- Add capsicum and olives.
- If you like extra cheese, add on it.
- Sprinkle black pepper powder, mix herbs, chilli flakes, parsley.
- Put the pizza pan in the oven and bake it for 15-20 minutes on 180 degree celsius.
- Take out the chicken pizza and let it cool down. Then cut it into small pieces.
- Enjoy chicken pizza with lovely friends and family members.
