Aloo Paratha Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup of wheat flour
- 3 boiled potatoes
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of red chilli powder
- ½ tsp of cumin seeds powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ¼ tsp of dry mango powder
- coriander leaves
- salt to taste
- Oil
Procedure:
- Take a wheat flour in a bowl.
- Add salt to taste and 1 tsp of oil in it.
- Mix it well.
- Add little amount of water and knead to make dough.
- Knead the dough well.
- Cover the dough and keep it aside.
- Take another bowl.
- Smash the boiled potatoes in it.
- Add salt to taste, red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin seeds powder, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, chopped coriander leaves and chopped onion.
- Mix it well.
- Knead the dough on rolling board.
- Divide the dough into small portions and make lumps (balls).
- Dust the dry flour on rolling board and roll out into 2 to 3 inch diameter circle then add potato stuffing over this rolled poori.
- Close all sides and dust the dry flour on rolling board.
- Roll out it carefully into 5-6 inch diameter thick paratha.
- Heat the tawa (flat pan).
- Add little amount of oil or ghee and spread all over.
- Place the rolled paratha over the pan.
- Roast the paratha on both sides until it turns brown.
- Apply the oil or ghee over the paratha.
- When the paratha is roasted well, take it out in a plate.
- Serve the aloo paratha with yogurt, tomato ketchup, pickle or any type of chutney.
