Barramundi Fish Curry

Ingredients- सामग्री

  • 250gm barramundi fillets (बारामुण्डी फिश)
  • 1 onion puree (प्याज प्यूरी)
  • 1 tomato puree (टमाटर प्यूरी)
  • 1 tbsp of ginger and garlic paste (अदरक लहसुन की पेस्ट)
  • ½ tsp of cumin seeds (जीरा )
  • ¼ tsp of turmeric powder(हल्दी )
  • 1 ½ tsp of red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
  • 1 tsp of garam masala(गरम मसाला)
  • 1 tsp coriander, cumin seeds powder (धनिया जीरा पाउडर)
  • coriander leaves (धनिये के पत्ते )
  • salt (नमक)
  • oil (तेल)

Procedure: –

  1. Wash and cut barramundi fish fillets into small pieces.
  2. Marinate the fish with some salt, turmeric powder and some ginger garlic paste.
  3. Keep it aside for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add 3-4 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  5. Heat the oil and add fish fillets.
  6. Fry it on both sides for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
  7. Take out fried fish in a plate.
  8. Add 1 tbsp of oil in heated pan.
  9. Add cumin seeds. When the cumin crackle, add ginger garlic paste and mix it will.
  10. Add onion paste and mix it.
  11. Add turmeric powder, coriander & cumin seeds powder, red chilli powder and tomato puree.
  12. Mix it well and cook it for 3-4 minutes on low to medium flame.
  13. Add water as required and mix.
  14. Add garam masala and salt to taste and mix it.
  15. Add chopped fresh coriander and mix it well.
  16. Cover the pan with lid and cook it for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  17. After 3 minutes, add fried fish and mix it gently.
  18. Cover the pan and cook it again for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  19. Barramundi fish curry is ready.
  20. Take out fish curry in a serving bowl.
  21. Serve the barramundi fish curry with rice, naan, roti or bread.
