Banana flowers ki sabzi
Banana flower subzi is a very tasty and healthy recipe. First, we need to clean the banana flower. Banana flower provides lots of vitamins, calcium. We can eat this banana flower subzi for weight loss.
Ingredients
- Banana Flowers
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 tbsp of ginger- garlic paste
- ½ tsp of turmeric powder
- ½ tsp of coriander – cumin seeds powder
- 1 tbsp of red chilli powder
- ½ tsp of garam Masala
- Pinch of asafoetida
- coriander leaves
- salt to taste
- 2 tsp of oil
- 2 tbsp of yogurt
Procedure:
Clean the banana flowers well.
Take 2 tbsp of yogurt in a bowl and mix it well.
Add 2 glass of water and ½ tsp of salt and mix it well.
Our butter milk is ready.
Cut the banana flowers and place it into buttermilk.
Mix it well and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
Take out the banana flowers from butter milk and place in the pressure cooker.
Add 2 cups of water in pressure cooker and ½ tsp of salt, turmeric and mix it well.
Close the pressure cooker lid.
Cook banana flowers on medium flame until 5-6 whistles.
Drain the water and take out cooked banana flowers.
Heat a pan.
Add 2 tsp of oil.
When the oil is heated, add chopped onion and saute it for 1 minute on medium flame.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute it.
Add chopped tomatoes and mix it well.
Add turmeric powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder, pinch of hing, red chilli powder and mix it well.
Cover the pan with lid and cook it for 2 minutes on medium flame.
After 2 minutes, open the lid and mix it well.
Add cooked banana flowers and mix it well.
Add garam masala, salt to taste and mix it well.
Cover pan with lid and cook it for 8-10 minutes on low flame.
Open the lid carefully and mix it well.
Serve the banana flower subzi in a serving plate and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
