Baked shakarpara
Most of people make fried shakarpara but today I am making baked shakarpara with sugar.
This shakarpara recipe is very tasty and crispy and tastes like cookies. We can make shakarpara with different types of flavour .
Ingredients
- 2 cups of plain flour (Maida)
- ½ cup of ghee
- ½ cup of powdered sugar
- ½ cup of milk
- ¼ tsp of cardamom powder
- Pinch of salt
Procedure:
- Add plain flour in a mixing bowl.
- Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, salt in the flour mixer.
- Mix everything well.
- Add ghee and mix it well.
- Add 2-3 tbsp of milk and knead the dough.
- Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, knead the dough again. Dough will become thick and dry.
- Add milk as required and knead it well.
- Make smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into 2-3 parts and make balls.
- Dust plain flour on the top of the rolling board and roll the dough with ½ cm thickness..
- Cut the rolled puri with the help of knife or pizza cutter into small pieces.
- Take baking tray and place the parchment paper on it.
- Place the shakarpara pieces on the tray.
- Make all shakarpara in a similar way.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degree celsius.
- Keep the baking tray in the oven and bake it on 180 degree celsius for 10-12 minutes.
- Take out the baking tray and let it cool down.
- Our khasta shakarpara is ready.
Tips:
- You can store the baked shakarpara in airtight container for 25-30 days.
- If you don’t like ghee, you can use oil also.
- If you want to make fried shakarpara, reduce the 2 tbsp of ghee and make same way and fry.
