Bajari Bhakri Recipe
Ingredients
- Pearl millet flour
- Sesame seeds
- salt to taste
- water
Procedure: –
- Add salt in the water and mix.
- Turn on the gas and keep the flat pan (tawa) on the gas.
- Take a big bowl or big plate.
- Strain the pearl millet flour (bajara flour).
- Add little amount of water and knead the dough well.
- Take small portion of dough and make the round shape with the help of palm.
- Dust the flour on flat surface and press the dough lightly with the help of palm.
- When the dough sticks to hands, dust some flour and press it and make round thin roti.
- Spread the sesame seeds on the top of roti (bhakari) and press it lightly.
- When the tawa is heated well, place the bhakri on it.
- Roast the bhakri on one side for 1 minute then apply the water on the top of the bhakari.
- Flip it to another side and roast it well until it becomes light golden.
- Take it out on spatula and roast it from top side on flame.
- Roast the bhakri carefully. Don’t burn it.
