Bajari Bhakri Recipe

Ingredients

  • Pearl millet flour
  • Sesame seeds
  • salt to taste
  • water

Procedure: –

  1. Add salt in the water and mix.
  2. Turn on the gas and keep the flat pan (tawa) on the gas.
  3. Take a big bowl or big plate.
  4. Strain the pearl millet flour (bajara flour).
  5. Add little amount of water and knead the dough well.
  6. Take small portion of dough and make the round shape with the help of palm.
  7. Dust the flour on flat surface and press the dough lightly with the help of palm.
  8. When the dough sticks to hands, dust some flour and press it and make round thin roti.
  9. Spread the sesame seeds on the top of roti (bhakari) and press it lightly.
  10. When the tawa is heated well, place the bhakri on it.
  11. Roast the bhakri on one side for 1 minute then apply the water on the top of the bhakari.
  12. Flip it to another side and roast it well until it becomes light golden.
  13. Take it out on spatula and roast it from top side on flame.
  14. Roast the bhakri carefully. Don’t burn it.
