Baigan Pakode Recipe

Baingan pakora is a very simple and delicious recipe for tea time. Enjoy the baingan pakora and tea during the rainy season. You can make it for party snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of gram flour
  • 1 tbsp of ginger- garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp of cumin seeds powder
  • ½ tsp of Carom Seeds
  • 1 tsp of red chilli powder
  • coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • oil

Procedure:-

  1. Take a big bowl.
  2. Add gram flour in it.
  3. Add turmeric powder, salt to taste, cumin seeds powder, red chilli powder, carom seeds, ginger garlic paste.
  4. Mix it. Add little amount of water and make a lump free batter.
  5. Add coriander leaves and mix it.
  6. Keep it aside.
  7. Wash and cut the brinjal (eggplant) into circular shape. Don’t cut thin or thick. It should be medium.
  8. Heat the oil in frying pan to fry the pakora.
  9. Dip the eggplant piece into gram flour batter and place in the oil carefully.
  10. Fry the pakora on medium flame until it turns golden brown.
  11. Take it out on absorbent paper.
  12. Serve the baingan pakora with any chutney or tomato ketchup.
