Shakarpara recipe

Ingredients- सामग्री

  1. 2 cups of plain flour (मैदा)
  2. ½ cup of sugar (चीनी)
  3. ½ cup of ghee (घी)
  4. ½ cup of milk (दूध)
  5. ½ tsp of cardamom powder (इलायची पाउडर)
  6. Pinch of salt(नमक)

 Procedure: 

  • Add milk in pan and put into gas
  • Turn on the flame.
  • Heat the milk until it becomes slightly warm.
  • Warm the milk
  • Turn of the flame.
  • Add pinch of salt, sugar, ghee and cardamom powder in the milk.
  • Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves.
  • Keep it aside .
  • Take plain flour in a big bowl
  • Add milk mixture in plain flour and make a smooth and tight dough.
  • Knead the dough very well.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Take a small portion of dough and roll it.
  • Roll out the dough.
  • Cut into small pieces like square or diamond.
  • Heat the oil in pan.
  • Dip fry the cut pieces on medium flame until it turns golden brown .
  • Once they are fried. Take it out on absorbent paper.
  • Shakarpare are ready to eat.
