Rajgira Puri Recipe
Amaranth is gluten free food. In amaranth have a high source of protein, calcium, vitamin etc.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Amaranth flour(Rajgira flour)
- Salt to taste
- Peanut Oil
- Warm water
Procedure:
- Take a big bowl.
- Add 1 cup of amaranth flour (Rajgira flour) in a bowl.
- Add salt to taste and 1 tsp of oil in this flour.
- Mix the flour well.
- Add little amount of warm water to rajgira flour and knead to make dough.
- The dough should be a little soft and a bit harder than that of roti dough.
- Cover the dough and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, apply little oil on your palm and knead the dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions and make the lumps.
- Dust the little rajgira flour on rolling board and roll the lumps.
- You can use oil for rolling the puri.
- Roll all puris and keep in a plate
- Heat the oil in a pan.When the oil is heated well, add as many puris as possible and press them gently with ladle to puff them up.
- Fry the puris until it turns golden brown.
- Take out the puris in absorbent paper.
- Rajgira puri ready.
- Serve the rajgira puri with vrat ki subzi or chutney.
Suggestions:
You can add green chilli and ginger paste.
