Rajgira Puri Recipe

Amaranth is gluten free food. In amaranth have a high source of protein, calcium, vitamin etc.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Amaranth flour(Rajgira flour)
  • Salt to taste
  • Peanut Oil
  • Warm water

Procedure:

  1. Take a big bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup of amaranth flour (Rajgira flour) in a bowl.
  3. Add salt to taste and 1 tsp of oil in this flour.
  4. Mix the flour well.
  5. Add little amount of warm water to rajgira flour and knead to make dough.
  6. The dough should be a little soft and a bit harder than that of roti dough.
  7. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  8. After 10 minutes, apply little oil on your palm and knead the dough.
  9. Divide the dough into small portions and make the lumps.
  10. Dust the little rajgira flour on rolling board and roll the lumps.
  11. You can use oil for rolling the puri.
  12. Roll all puris and keep in a plate
  13. Heat the oil in a pan.When the oil is heated well, add as many puris as possible and press them gently with ladle to puff them up.
  14. Fry the puris until it turns golden brown.
  15. Take out the puris in absorbent paper.
  16. Rajgira puri ready.
  17. Serve the rajgira puri with vrat ki subzi or chutney.

Suggestions:

You can add green chilli and ginger paste.
