Oats Paratha, Healthy Paratha Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl of rolled oats or oats flour
  • 3 medium size boiled potatoes
  • ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp of red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp of garam masala
  • ½ tsp of roasted cumin seeds powder
  • ½ tsp of dry mango powder
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil or ghee

Procedure :

  1. Grind the rolled oats in a mixer grinder and make powder.
  2. Keep the pan on flame and add ½ cup of water.
  3. Add salt to taste and boil it.
  4. When the water is boiled, turn off the flame.
  5. Add oats flour and mix well.
  6. Add 1 tsp of oil and make the dough like roti dough.
  7. Knead the dough well and keep it aside.
  8. Make potato filling.
  9. Smash the potatoes.
  10. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, dry mango powder, coriander leaves and salt for taste.
  11. Mix everything well. 
  12. Take a small portion of dough and give the dip a round shape like a bowl.
  13. Put the potato stuffing and close the edges.
  14. Dust the dry flour on a rolling board and roll it very gently. Don’t roll thin.
  15. Keep the pan on flame.
  16. Roast the paratha on medium flame till it becomes light in colour.
  17. Apply the oil or ghee and roast it well.
  18. Enjoy the very tasty and healthy oats aloo paratha with favourite chutney or sauce.
