Chilli mushroom
Chilli mushrooms is a very tasty indo chinese recipe suitable for party, starter. The combination of fried mushrooms, capsicum and onions is very good. It’s crunchy from outside and juicy inside. Most of the people love indo chinese recipe.
Ingredients
- 200 gm cup mushrooms.
- ½ green capsicum
- ½ onion
- Spring onions
- 1 tbsp of chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp of chopped ginger
- 2-3 green chilli
- ½ tsp of black pepper
- 1 ½ tbsp of red chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp of light soya sauce
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp of cornstarch
- 4 tbsp of plain flour
- 1 tbsp of oil
- Oil for frying
Procedure
- Wash and cut the mushrooms into 4 pieces.
- Cut the capsicum and onion into square.
- Add plain flour, 2 tbsp of cornstarch in a mixing bowl.
- Add 1 tsp of chilli sauce, ¼ tsp of black pepper, ¼ tsp of salt in it.
- Add water and mix well. Make semi thick batter.
- Add chopped mushroom pieces in the batter and mix everything well.
- Heat the oil in frying pan to fry the mushrooms.
- When the oil is heated well, add mushroom pieces.
- Fry the mushrooms on medium flame until they turn crispy and golden in colour.
- Take out the fried mushroom pieces on absorbent paper.
- Fry all mushroom pieces in a similar way.
- Add 1 tbsp of cornstarch in a bowl.
- Add 3-4 tbsp of water and make slurry.
- Keep the pan on flame.
- Add 1 tbsp of oil in a pan.
- When the oil is heated, add garlic, ginger, green chilli, white spring onion and mix it.
- Fry it on high flame for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped capsicum, onion and cook it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
- Add chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, soya sauce, black pepper powder, salt to taste and mix it well.
- Keep the flame low.
- Mix cornstarch slurry and add in it.
- Mix everything well and cook for few minutes until it becomes thick.
- Add fried mushrooms and mix well.
- Cook it for 1 minute on low flame, don’t overcook.
- Add spring onion and mix well.
- Turn off the flame. Our chilli mushroom is ready to serve.
- Serve the chilli mushrooms in a serving plate and garnish with spring onions.
