Urad Dal Bonda Recipe (उड़द दाल बोन्डा)

Ingredients- सामग्री

  • 1 cup of split black gram (उड़द दाल )
  • 4-5 garlic cloves (लहसुन)
  • 2-3 chopped green chillies (हरी मिर्च)
  • 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds (जीरा)
  • salt to taste (नमक)
  • coriander leaves (धनिये के पत्ते)
  • chopped curry leaves (करी पत्ते)
  • oil (तेल)

Procedure:-

  • Wash the split black gram.
  • Soak the split black gram for approx. 6-8 hours or overnight.
  • Drain all water.
  • Take grinder jar, add soaked split black gram and garlic cloves.
  • Grind it into smooth paste. If you need water, add 1-2 tbsp of water and grind. Don’t add too much water.
  • Take out the batter into big bowl.
  • Add salt, curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chilli and cumin seeds.
  • Mix it well.
  • Turn on the flame.
  • Keep the pan on gas.
  • Add oil into pan.
  • Heat the oil.
  • Take cold water in a bowl.
  • Wet the hand with cold water.
  • Take small portion of batter and put in oil carefully.
  • Fry the bonda on medium flame until it turns golden brown.
  • Once they are fried, take it out on absorbent paper.
  • Urad dal bondas is ready.
  • Serve the hot urad bonda with any type of chutney or sauce.
