Khajur and Dry Fruit Burfi Recipe

Ingredients- सामग्री

  • 250gm dates (खजूर)
  • 1/3 cup of chopped almonds (बादाम)
  • 1/3 cup of chopped cashew nuts (काजू)
  • ¼ cup of chopped pistachios (पिसता)
  • 2 tbsp of chopped pumpkin seeds (कद्दू के बीज)
  • ¼ tsp of cardamom powder (इलायची पाउडर)
  • 1 tbsp of ghee (घी)

This burfi is sugar free and very good for health. You can also eat this burfi when you are on a fast or during vrat. You can eat this burfi before going for exercise in the morning as it will boost your energy.

Procedure:-

  1. Remove all the seeds from dates.
  2. Chop the dry fruits roughly
  3. Grind the seedless dates in grinder jar in a coarsely fashion.
  4. Turn on the gas and keep the pan on gas.
  5. Add 1 tsp of ghee in a pan.
  6. Add chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios and pumpkin seeds)
  7. Roast the dry fruits for 1-2 minutes on low flame.
  8. Take out the roasted dry fruits in a bowl.
  9. Add 1tsp of ghee in a same pan.
  10. Add grated dates and cook it for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  11. Turn off the flame.
  12. Add roasted dry fruits and cardamom powder and mix it well.
  13. Let it cool down little bit.
  14. Take out the nuts mixture in a plate.
  15. Divide the mixture into two portions and make a cylindrical shape.
  16. Wrap the roll into aluminium foil paper or parchment paper.
  17. Keep the roll in a fridge for 1-2 hours.
  18. Take out the roll from fridge and cut into 1 inch thick burfi
  19. Dates and nuts burfi is ready. Enjoy 🙂.
