Palak Sev Recipe
Palak sev is really crispy and tasty snacks for Diwali festival and other festivals also. We can eat palak sev for tea time.
Ingredients-
- 1 cup of gram flour
- 50gm spinach leaves
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- 1 inch ginger
- 4-5 green chillies
- Coriander leaves
- Mint leaves
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds powder
- 1 tsp of lemon juice
- salt to taste
- Oil
Procedure:-
- Take a grinder jar.
- Add spinach leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilli, garlic and ginger in a jar.
- Add 2-3 tbsp of water and grind it into smooth paste.
- Take a bowl and strainer.
- Pour the spinach paste in strainer and strain it.
- Take gram flour in another bowl.
- Add cumin seeds powder, salt to taste, lemon juice and spinach paste in the gram flour.
- And mix it well.
- If the mixture becomes thin, add 2-3 tbsp of gram flour and mix.
- If the mixture becomes very thick, add water and mix it well to prevent the lumps.
- Add 1 tsp of oil and mix it well.
- Make the lumps free batter. It should be medium, not too thin and not too thick.
- Cover the sev batter and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Take a sev maker (murukku maker).
- Grease the sev maker with oil.
- Place enough dough in the sev maker and close.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium flame. Frying pan should have about one inch of oil.
- Hold the sev maker over frying pan.
- Press the sev maker handle.
- When sev comes out, move the sev maker in circular motion slowly and continue to press the handle.
- Make two circles and stop.
- Fry the sev on both sides on medium flame until it becomes crispy.
- Take out sev on absorbent paper.
- Make all sev in a similar way.
- Our tasty and crispy palak sev is ready.
Tip:
- You can add red chilli powder instead of green chilli.
- Store the palak sev in air tight container and we can eat for 15-20 days.
