Kadai Paneer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 gm of cottage cheese
  • 1 capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 tbsp of ginger- garlic paste
  • ½ tsp of coriander-cumin seeds powder
  • ½ tsp of turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp of garam masala
  • 12-15 cashew nuts
  • 1tsp of dried Fenugreek leaves
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 2 tbsp of oil

Procedure:-

  1. Soak the cashew nuts for 1 hour.
  2. Cut the paneer into small cubes.
  3. Heat a pan.
  4. Add 1 tbsp of oil in it.
  5. Add paneer cubes.
  6. Fry paneer cubes on medium flame until they turn golden brown.
  7. Take out the fried paneer in a plate.
  8. Add chopped capsicum in same pan.
  9. Fry it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
  10. Take it out in a plate.
  11. Add chopped onion in same pan.
  12. Cook it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
  13. Add tomatoes and mix it.
  14. Cover the pan with lid and cook it for 2 minutes on low flame.
  15. Let it cool down.
  16. Take a grinder jar and add cooked onion-tomato and soaked cashew nutes in it.
  17. Grind it into smooth paste.
  18. Heat a pan.
  19. Add 1 tsp of oil and 1 tbsp of butter.
  20. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute it.
  21. Add turmeric powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder, kasoori methi and red chilli powder.
  22. Mix it well.
  23. Add prepared paste and mix it well.
  24. Cook it on low-medium flame until oil comes out.
  25. Add water as required and mix it well.
  26. Add salt to taste, garam masala, coriander leaves and mix it well.
  27. Add fried paneer, capsicum and mix it.
  28. Cover the pan and cook it for 5-6 minutes on low flame.
  29. Open the lid carefully and mix it.
  30. Serve the kadai paneer in a serving bowl.
  31. Enjoy the kadai paneer with naan, roti or rice etc.
