Mango Barfi Recipe

Mango barfi is an Indian sweet fudge recipe. It’s a very sweet and tasty dessert for festival. We can make it any time for desert. This barfi is making with mango and milk or milk powder.

Ingredients- सामग्री

  • 2 cups of mango pulp (आम का गूदा)
  • 1 ½ cups of milk powder (दूध पाउडर)
  • 1 cup of condensed milk (कन्डेंस्ड मिल्क)
  • 2 tsp of ghee (घी)
  • 1 tsp of kewra water (केवड़ा वॉटर )
  • pistachios for garnish (पिसता)

Procedure:-

  1. Take a bowl and add condensed milk and milk powder.
  2. Mix it well to prevent lumps.
  3. If the mixture is so thick, add 3-4 tbsp of milk.
  4. Mix it well.
  5. Add 2 tsp of ghee and mix it.
  6. Turn on the gas and keep the pan on gas.
  7. Add mango pulp in a pan.
  8. Cook it for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.
  9. Keep stirring continuously.
  10. Add milk powder mixture and mix it well.
  11. Cook it on medium flame until mixture becomes thick.
  12. While cooking, keep stirring continuously.
  13. Add kewra water and mix it well.
  14. Turn off the gas.
  15. Grease either the plate or tray with the oil.
  16. Place the mango barfi mixture in a tray or plate.
  17. Flat it with the help of spoon or spatula.
  18. Garnish with chopped pistachios.
  19. Let it cool down completely.
  20. Cut the mango barfi with the help of knife.

Tip:-

  • 1.   Store the mango barfi in airtight container and keep it in a fridge and eat the mango barfi for 10-12 days.
  • 2.   You can add sugar and milk also.
  • 3.   You can add khoya as well.
