Coconut Barfi Recipe

Ingredients- सामग्री

  • 1 cup of grated fresh coconut (ताजा नारियल)
  • ½ cup of Sugar (चीनी)
  • ½ cup of milk powder (दूध पाउडर)
  • ½ tsp of cardamom powder (इलायची पाउडर)
  • 1 tsp of ghee (घी)
  • pistachios (पिसता)

Procedure:-

  1. Cut the fresh coconut into small pieces.
  2. Add fresh coconut pieces in a grinder jar.
  3. Grind it.
  4. Take 1 cup of grated fresh coconut.
  5. Turn on the flame and keep a pan on gas.
  6. Add 1 tsp of ghee.
  7. Add grated fresh coconut and mix it well.
  8. Cook it for 3-4 minutes on low- medium flame. Keep stirring.
  9. Add milk powder and mix it well. Keep stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
  10. Add sugar and mix it well.
  11. Cook it on low-medium flame until it becomes thick and sticky.
  12. Add cardamom powder and mix it well.
  13. Take a tray or flat plate and place the parchment paper on it. ( You can grace the plate with oil)
  14. Place the coconut mixture on it and spread it with the help of spatula.
  15. Let it cool down completely.
  16. Cut it into rectangular pieces.
  17. Garnish with pistachios or silver paper.
